A Few Small Finishes

Here are my latest finishes:

This is taken from Joan Elliott's Wit and Wisdom book. It's supposed to be for a photo album, but I've adapted it a little to make it suitable for a Thank You card (by changing the lettering).

Joan Elliott is becoming one of my favourite designers! There's loads of other designs in this book I'd like to do as well, as well as dozens of charts that she's done for World of Cross Stitch.

Another card, this design was taken from Two Hour Cross Stitch (it took less than two hours though :P)

And finally, this card design was taken from an issue of World of Cross stitch:

Time to get organised again!

OK, the time has come to get things sorted. My list of WIPs has changed, progress has been made and (shhh!) a couple of new starts as well.

New starts are:

QS Siberian Forest (HAED freebie SAL) - I need to get a bit more done on this one and to post another update on the HAED Bulletin Board to qualify for the other free charts.
Peter Rabbit Birth Sampler - for my little boy of course! Having the same problem with this one that I was with Hunca Munca, gorgeous design, stitches up lovely, but the backstitch is a complete pain to follow.
Dad's and Mine - this is a Stoney Creek chart of a tractor. Not my usual choice of design at all, but it's not for me.

I've decided to restart a couple of others too, so they are officially gone from my WIP list and have gone back into stash.

Some Enchanted Evening - not happy with the fabric. I don't think it's big enough to enable to get it framed afterwards. As this is going to be a present, that's no good! Also it's on linen, which is a bit irregular to stitch on. So I'm looking for some dark blue evenweave instead to do this on.

Farmyard Cottage - I'd not done a huge amount on this one, which is just as well after noticing I was using the wrong number of strands for some of the colours. Obvious now looking at the instructions, but not so much at the time!

And some new stash, of course!

A belated update

Its been ages since I've made any updates - mostly because my little boy was born on 11th January and time for stitching is very limited, let alone time to post my updates!

Since my last post I've finished QS Chocolate, Chocolate and More Chocolate, and claimed my HAED Reward chart of QS Lil Mardi Gras Cat, which I think is adorable!

I've also been working on my Siberian Tiger, now more than half way finished, but still a lot of grey and blue to go...

I've also added to my already substantial stash pile! Dimensions Creekside Deer and Maia Gyre Falcon - both discontinued so I just had to get them really.

And not cross stitch related but have to post a photo of my son, Dexter Jack:
